This elegant statue of the Virgin Mary, a 103cm Mater Dolorosa with a wooden base, is a piece with an undeniable Sevillian hallmark. Made of high-quality resin by the E.G. Frances workshop in July 2002, it stands out for its meticulous polychromy and an expression of deep sacred anointing. The image features a detailed bust and hands, articulated wooden arms to facilitate dressing, and a robust conical candelero. Although the right hand needs to be replaced, its excellent state of preservation on the face (only one tear fell off and there is a small chip on the lip as shown in the photos) and its artisanal origin make it an ideal opportunity for collectors or brotherhoods looking for a work with the tradition and charm of Seville's sacred art. It is very difficult to find a piece like this signed by the artist. Due to its size, complexity, and fragility, this item will not be shipped or packaged.
